this is the second shoot i worked on with ms. jennifer keen. we did hair and makeup in her awesome apartment which is a well-coordinated mashup of colourful vintage pieces. it was probably the coolest apartment i had ever been in. jennifer has this wicked eye for colour. Stephanie was our model and she is actually a fashion design student at ryerson. her collection was featured at white noise (which i worked backstage hair for....small world moment) and she also competed in danier's design challenge. she is fashionably talented, both in illustration and in dress. i believe she is my first super blonde model...she pulled off this look so well. love her! i also met melissa for the first time at this shoot and since then, we've worked together 3 more times, at white noise and at both shoots for mass ex. we make a solid team and we both share the same passion for fashion and beauty. i love the girl to death! another effortlessly beautiful shoot!

connections

this is a shoot i did back in october with a jennifer keen who is a fashion student at ryerson who just so happened to stumble across my modelmayhem page. she had to do this for her fashion photography class which is probably the most fun course you could possibly have....in my opinion at least. i had just finished my entrepreneurial finance midterm that day so this was a nice artistic release that was much needed after crunching numbers for 3 days straight. i feel horrible for not remembering the names of the model and makeup artist but they did a wonderful job. i also met emma cluthe, who is a friend of jennifer and these 2 ladies were my ticket into working on mass exodus. so i am forever grateful to them as they helped put in a good word for me and now i've worked on 2 projects for mass ex: one for the show's magazine and the other was for the opening video to the show. see what having connections does? i'll be posting my work from those 2 gigs after the show is over so for now, i'll drown in anticipation cause I don't get to see anything from it till then either.

I WANT LANVIN NOT FLOWERS

LANVIN SHOOT!!! I've been waiting to post this for a while and I finally got the photos! I did this shoot back in November soon after H&M released their Lanvin collection. Alayna is my first red head and first short-haired model and this girl knows how to WORK. she is just shot after shot after shot. She's a dancer who owns a gym in T.O. so she has her body down pact and knows the camera very very well. Unfortunately, I cannot remember the name of the makeup artist but she was this sweet sweet girl and was very serious about her work. Hopefully by putting this in the universe, I'll cross paths with her again! Our wonderful stylist, Carlton is a fine dapper gentleman who is so humble and talented. as u can see, the man can throw together an outfit. Carlton and I will be working together soon so I'll keep you posted! Adam actually lives in the same condo as one of my girlfriends' and he literally had a miniature studio right in his living room. the shot of adam and alayna is in an elevator and those raybans look SO FLY on those 2! I'm so in love with these shots...so in love with lanvin:)

 Here's the latest shoot I did for Ashley Zaba's Fall/Winter Collection. Are these not absolutely drop dead gorgeous?! everything about this shoot was just amazing. Ashley Zaba is a very talented up-and-coming designer out of Barrie and you could never tell she makes these clothes out of her basement. this girl deserves her own fashion house. the shoot took place at Michelle's studio in Toronto up against white brick and an old window and Sarah worked her stuff......those brows and coral lips are just tantalizing. a great way to end a 5 cancelled shoot streak:]
